Description
This is a little something that we found interesting. While the frames show nothing in the animatic, even in draft form I knew what I wanted to put there: A painting of Lauren's "Fausticorn" and Starswirl the Bearded.I didnt get to paint them till much later (while taking a break from animation) But when I did, I made sure the were put in before my lovely wife started to paint the background itself.
So there you have the sketches, painted frames and the integrated finished piece. IT lacks a bit of post-production effects including the foals but I hope you like
Edit I didnt remember where I got the starswirl reference image from but the artist manifested himself, Give a huge ammount of pageviews to for inspiring this painting

The doors are eyes, the door handles are pupils, and the light hitting the floor through the window is a huge, manic grin.

It's not as big or as high-quality as you might think it is
But I'll probably do a few tweaks before a 'release' so to speak

I cannot see any way that this animation will be anything other than fantastic.
The detail of all the small parts is so high, it is ridiculous.
There are works of art, within this grand piece of art.
(Inb4 you have done nothing other than the animatic and when you post the real thing it will just be a Rickroll all this time)

The blog would prove that we are actually plowing ahead and my slight headache of overconcentration tells me I've been working too much ^^

All of this...seems confusing to me, but its like the coolest thing, from explsions. But how long did it take you to understand all this?

Lovin' it, especially the sketches. I dunno why I like the rough sketches of artists over their finished works. Guess it's because sketches is the only thing I can do. xD

Sketches are often more 'alive' than the final result. The lines are usually more dynamic and more spontaneous

Well,it is a matter of balance. While finished paintings are totally polished and meant to be shown around, they loose freshness and force due to the several passes that take to make them.
Sketches are as fresh as it comes from the artist mind, that is why they have some special atractiveness.

Every step of the way is a form of art on itself (and traditionally, done by separated and specialized artists)
Being Sketching, cleanup, inking, layout, and color key. Today's exigences force artists to master them all, but they are still valuable and they can stand alone by themselves.

Dear, institutions always have two sides. The side to show to the public, and then, the side that holds the true institution.
Works for schools, libraries, orphanages and mostly every public building. We calculated that.

The Pareidolia is the psychological effect caused by patters we see as 'familiar' such as faces where there are none
But indeed, you'll never see that image in the same way
