I got a little bored today, so I figured my lunch would be a good subject

A long time ago I met a farmer when I went out to purchase my Halloween Jack O Lantern. This farmer had grown some really cool Gourds that were the shape of a pear, but the size if a salad plate. I bought all he had and let them dry out. The exterior skin was really tough. I then painted them gold and sponged on a lighter gold finish. I added a pretty ribbon and gave them out for the Holidays. That was probably 20 years ago. I still have mine and display it every year. This picture reminded me of that...a happy thought! [link]

Well... I had to do something with the photo..pears don't exactly have the most interesting colour
