Description This is an entry to costume contest. All you have to do is pick one of her Characters and put them in a costume he/she wouldn't usualy be in or would usualy be seen in.

I think this one would be something he would NOT be seen in lol.

I put him in some weird untraditional egyptian/ indian styled outfit.
I know I didn't get the face right but I tried to make defined check bones and hat hair lol

ooohhhhhh that is a gorgeous outfit and Alex wears it well hehehehe he looks really handsome and alluring it's kind of cool too, because of all my characters I hold Alex and Arfay so very dear to me....and Arfay's a desert person....so it's like you brought that element to Alex here! lol...wicked

and the background detail in this is phenomenal hun! I love the colors and the general feel of the setting hehehehe very casual and relaxed with a breezy type feeling to it and yet this mystique of the smexy man dressed oh so nicely awaiting on that plush lil divan lol!

I know Alex doesn't have the easiest face to work with...it can be a definite challenge. But, as I've said before, this contest is more about the costumes than complete accuracy on the individual wearing them, and I assure I can tell whom it is meant to be. I can give you my personal take via note but overall it is very nice! And I'll get to pimping it right away I think I'll put it in IC...because though Alex doesn't really wear such things regularly I COULD see him wearing that if given the chance so

I got your note. Thanx buddy, and thanx for the excirlent comment. I am realy influenced by the egypitian culture at the moment. But wanting to try and be creative, I had to mix it up abit. The background was stolen from another pic. [link] I am bad for doing that lol. But he was fun to do. I tried very hard to be neat too lol. I hope you get lots of entries. Cheers buddy.

Your anatomy is spot on as always. The face kinda reminds me of Jared from Labrynth. I like the costume design, though it looks a little yaoi to me. lol I will never understand the attraction to that stuff. Anyway the concept is great. I like the colors you used. It's nice to see a vampire in something aside from the cliche black on black. As for the difficulty emulating Poldalle's facial designs, yeah I've had a hard time with that too. She does a very elfy style face. Mine end up looking like an alien.

that would be David Bowie yes. You are the second or third person to say that lol. Anyways I am not into Yaoi at all. I think it is tooo moraly corrupt.

I have to confess, I like doing pretty boys in pretty clothes though. but thats it.

I tend to do this to males who have exotic nature. Like Alex being a vampire. I also like doing pretty clothes of wizards, socererous and if the male is a fantasy creature you can be ganranteed that he will have something pretty/ odd or wierd about him.

Well I believe that Alex is gay anyways so I suppose that is even more fitting for him lol.
But I get the impression that he has a nice nature. He has a sad past. But his vampire trait makes him very interesting.

You like drawing pretty boys and I like drawing pretty girls, nothing wrong there. I have always been of the mind that there are two kinds of vampires, the beautiful seducing type(Lestat) and the hideous monstrous type(Nosferatu). I like both, but I think the Nosferatu are more fun to draw.

No problem. It is a classic horror film. One of the ones that almost all other horror films are influenced by. Some of the story telling devices are still original and powerful even today, like the shadow of the hand reaching out for the hapless victims.

lol...well if it's a comfort to you....Alex doesn't really tend to wear much black at all if any....he's much more of one for blues, silvers, and soft yellows lol!

Yeah, I have tried. I was trying to emulate the bone structure. I was gonna do a fan art, but I kept getting snagged on that. They kept coming out looking like aliens with stretched faces. It was before I took any figure drawing classes and before I had ever read Andrew Loomis' Drawing the Figure for All It's Worth. I need to try again, though it'll have to wait till my prior obligations to a project are finished. If you have ANY troubles with anatomy I highly recommend that book though. awe! well I take a lot of me facial structures and whatnot honestly from practicing drawing figures originally--especially elves and D&D stuff--from pictures in the D&D books namely Todd Lockwood's art. So many of the things people seem to like in my art is heavily influenced by that wonderful man and I'm honored that you would even think to do so, actually having any fan art would be even more flattering but that hardly means you HAVE to do it or feel you must. I'm honored even being thought of and thank you for the link! my brother bought me a book "Anatomy for Fantasy Artists" by Glenn Fabry for Christmas and then I got "Realistic Figure Drawing " by Joseph Sheppard for myself, and both of those have helped my anatomy even moreso. It's hardly perfect but it's definitely helped

a few said he looked like David bowie. As for the lighting. I had had to make changes from the ref I used to make it as realistic as possible, but I still probably added light where there should have been shadow. but I could just make out that there is another lightsource that is coming from inside the rooom lol
