GORGEOUS!!!! I love the steam-punk feel to it, and your realism to the rat, whilst still remaining in fantasy, is amazing!!! WELL DONE!!!

thank you! I've been thinking about starting an Etsy store. I have prints made up to sell at a convention next weekend that I would sell for $10 (8X12) and I do have prints available through my InkBunny account, although I've never ordered prints through them before and could not comment on the quality of them. oh golly, i strongly referenced a rat pose for this one, really any of my 'realistic' rat pictures i have a pose reference opened right next to the picture as i work on it. RATS. Problem is , when I'm browsing for a good rat pose i always loose myself in the sea of adorable

wow,, this looks amazing! XD all of those different textures, i could almost reach out and feel each surface with my hand. and lovely little details like the rat shapes on the gold bolts, and how light is reflecting off of him from the compass. so many awesome details to his costume, too!

lizspit In reply to GrayKioti [2009-12-23 21:34:09 +0000 UTC]
thanks! I'm glad you like the details, because my right hand did NOT appreciate having to render them at all. I read somewhere that reflective blue light in the foreground makes objects seem more real or makes depth of space or .. i dunno.. something. so now , BLUE LIGHT!
