I needed to do a more serious piece of rat artwork. It's kind of sad that my definition of 'serious' rat artwork is a steam punk rat. Yes, Liz, very serious indeed.anyhow, i'm rather fond of it.

After hearing that Pet Rats become popular among english nobility in Victorian era (same as steampunk usually is set in) I find your artwork very fitting <3

OMFG AWESOME AWESOME!
Okay, now that that's out of my system. I never really thought about rats and steampunk together but this piece made me realize that rats are the perfect animal representation of steampunk art and culture. They're ingenious, resourceful, tough, and not afraid to get dirty. I always thought of steampunk having a post-apocalyptic sort of appeal and rats are definitely clever and hearty enough to survive any kind of disaster.
...I can't help but throw another AWESOME into this comment.
