Description This is Malith's Daughter. She's a Scholarly Mage. Right now she's attempting to fix the predicament she's got herself in.

This picture started out as a doodle I started after I finished Malith's picture. From there it grew into a large piece of work. But now it'd done, and here it is for all of you!

I like the candles. How long did this one take to do? It looks like it took longer than "Malith".

Whoo, this one took about an hour and 20 minutes. ^^ so yeah. I'm really happy with how she turned out.

It did. How much of that was line art and how much was coloring? I like the shadowy glow at the bottom.

The line art was pretty quick, taking the time of roughing it out, then drawing it out good I suppose took around 30 minutes, *took me a while to figure out how she was actually sitting*. The coloring took forever, after her initial coloring which was easy, the fancy magical look took a lot of trial and error. As for what she's sitting on that was a last minute thing. The part I wanted her to be sitting on, just didn't seem to work.

I start with stick figures for a pose/form. Then I fill them out, and... well, turn them into silhouettes, but I could just as easily turn them into "normal" cartoons.

Sometimes trial and error is good. I was using trial and error for my silhouettes, but if you make a lot of similar things, the need for trial and error goes away. Were you using filters? If so, learning all the filters can really speed things up.

Last minute things happen. Sometimes I am shocked by what people like. My mushroom was basically a joke, and lots of people seem to like it...
