just a quick illustration that i had a sudden impulse to draw! i'm craving spring in holland, where you can just hop on your bike and find a nice place to have a picnic. it can still be darn windy though.drawn in photoshop cs5 with a cintiq 24HD in 4 hrs. for more info on my artwork please visit [link]

Well, because there's wind from the bicycle speeding forward but if her feet are moving like they would be on the bike then the shoelaces would be affected.

Great, as always, but it took me a second for my physics nazi to come out- should her shoe laces be floating out in that direction, when the her hair goes the other? I suppose it could be a strong wind, but then I would think that would effect the hair too...oh...nm...LOL!

Looks like they're off to find a picnic spot themselves. I like the fact that she has a "proper" seat for herself on that bike as opposed to sitting on the handlebars.

Where I live is like that (Melbourne, Australia- right down south on the right side of the country) all year round- windy, that is. :< I had my hat fastened to my head to the point of headaches the other day and the wind STILL stole it and it's the middle of Summer!
I love the coloured lines and the way the characters are breaking free of the borders. Also the way some colours are...flat and others aren't. Kind of a gradient effect. I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT but I hope you know what I mean. XD

Hi Loish, I have PS7 and CS2 and would really like to learn to PAINT rather than cell shade, are there any tutorials, including your own you'd recommend? It's always nice to see new stuff by you btw, I love how the colors often appear to have a vivid underpainting like they were done in acrylic or gouache, like the red-brown hue here in some of the "outlines" random: I love how you draw shoes. I will did around for any tutorials you may have up though. thank you
