Carroll said "no" to any depiction of the snark, and any description of the thing only added to the ambiguity and confusion. One wag even suggested that the Boots was the Boojum in disguise.

In my sequel to Alice in Wonderland, I state that the Hunt for the Snark took place on the western seas of Wonderland. I also mention aboriginal races thatΒ dwelt before the coming of men: the headmen, the Bivalvular Ones, and the sealioncentaurs. Worth mentioning here is that the Bivalvular Ones know a magic by which water becomes a plastic that can be molded into clothing. HOWEVER the wearer gets drenched when the magic spell wears off, and the fabric reverts to water.
Besides CASPER IN WONDERLAND, I also wrote CASPER IN OZ and THE THIRD LIFEFORM (A CasperXAstroboy story.)all at the peak of my writing phase. Then came a slow decline...

That upright-standing body and those pointy eyeballs are lovable pieaces. YouΒ΄re skilled at designing monsters both silly and disturbing simultaneosly, your style is in that way similar
to the drawings of Jonathan Wojcik/Scythemantis/Bogleech.
And I appreciate your choice of color here a lot.

Thank you! I think I may subconciously be combining the "spaghetti & meatballs" school of art a lΓ Basil Wolverton, with the Victorian and Edwardian pen and ink artists. You never really know where your influences come from most of the time, and how your subconcious will mix them all together.
