Description
Some ships I drew yesterday, mainly based on the design and shape of the traditional AHE battleship, the model of ship that got destroyed by a penetrating strike in the first terminal .
The ships on the left are based off of a gunship in a really old Warhammer 40K game that looked like this .
Ideas for the names of the ships from top to bottom:
Tsunami II Battleship (24 KM) Upgunned version of the Tsunami battleship. carries an extensive complement of beam-projectors, cutters, adaptive shields and heavy armor, assault ram, improved Slipspace drive, and missile munition reserves.
Volcanus Class Assault Battleship (18.6 KM) battleship designed to carry out more effective bombardment as well as to clear out invasive enemy squadrons of capital ships in the way. Heavy use of beamers and gravitic weapons
Bastion Class Battlecruiser Type-1 (16.8 KM) Defensive battlecruiser with enlarged cargo capacity, armor, and fighter hangars. Longer version.
Bastion Class Battlecruiser Type-2 (14 KM) Defensive support battlecruiser with enlarged cargo capacity, armor, and fighter hangars. Extra engines and thrusters.
Inferno Class Heavy Cruiser (9.5 KM) medium-to short-range direct assault ship, very maneuverable for its size
Inferno Refit Heavy Cruiser (10.1 KM) Battering prow version of the Inferno Heavy Cruiser, more for breaking blockades and fortifications
Serpent Class Heavy Cruiser (9.1 KM) San Shyuum hybrid ship with increased stealth and torpedo capability
Caiman Class Hunter Cruiser (8.6) A sniper ship, built mainly on the concealed hyperplasma accelerator array in a well-armored shell, while it can also be able to rely on other weapon systems in the presence of numerous opponents.
Ships on the left are Mark II Weaponships, which arose from the need for the AHE to keep up heavy fire support against the Forerunner front while also dealing with the issue of resource scarcity. To respond to the need, and to remove the need of making fully-complete capital ships to mount the weapons, the Admiralty decided to instead mount capital-killing weaponry onto the smallest, fastest,and most maneuverable platforms available, which suited their later-war era fighting retreat stratagem quite well.
