Well the movie 300 is based from Frank Miller's comics. Both the comic and the movie have a lot of inaccuracy about the history.
An example the put the concept Good Freedom (western civilization) against Evil Barbaric Slaver (eastern civilization).
Another example the spartan training, in the movie Leonidas killed a wolf, when in real life the future warrior have to kill an Ilota (slave in spartan culture) without being capture in the process by the owner of the victim. What way to respect freedom from anothers. Do not You think?

I actually kinda like the movie.
I think it would have been perfect if:
1. The Spartan's would have fought in formation (which the did in the comic) and
2. The Spartans in the last scene would have been somewhat historically accurate to drive home the difference between reality and the story told by Dilios
As it is, I can still enjoy it for the action and raging homoerotic undertones (overtones?) on display XD
