I think he is Selenium. Β I didn't really change them too much, I basically just made them a little more fluid than they were back in the 60's.

Selenium is a half-metal. The first such of the Sulfur family. (curiuous that with the exception of oxygen, its compounds are bad-smelling. I think it's because we have evolved to NOT smell oxygen's foul odor.
