Oh yeah. I was very anxious to see how it turned after many days of layering in the details. Good thing I finished it in my Anime Club a couple of Fridays ago. I love the anime, TEKKAMAN BLADE, and man, to think I finished watching the show on YouTube. Boy, the final fights of Blade against Sabre and Darkon (Tekkaman Omega in the Japan Version) were awesome.Anyways, this drawing happened by mere doodling and boredom. What else could it came from, huh? Anyways, I took about a whole week to pencil in layers and layers of shadows and highlights. It turned out good.
So now my fellow DayWatch, I present to U... Tekkaman Ultima...

That's really awesome. Although I wonder if Ultima here is just as hammy as Omega/Darkon. Since Omega especially in the english version was incredibly hammy. I've been coming up with Tekkaman design myself but I don't know how to draw. And I've been looking for people who can draw them. Do you know any people who can draw really good Tekkamen?

Nope! Because it was titled as 'Technoman' in our local television listings LOL. And was it Sundays? I thought Sunday was the morning my dad would take my brother and I to the marshlands. Maybe I was worse at keeping track of a schedule back then than I am now?

Well actually the series was finished. But they canceled TEKNOMAN after EP 26, which was a clip show showing the events that happened through the first season.
The second season, well EP 27-43 are now available to watch on youtube.

Well yea, they finished it in Japan. Just like they did with The Guyver and a lot of other series they attempted to bring over. But finishing the first season and having 'Ringo' walk off with a tape recorder playing is a terrible conclusion for a television airing LOL.

I'll probably watch it in Japanese the next days I have off though LOL. I think it's funny they keep some 'D-Boy' refs in there even though they edited anyone referring to Blade like that in actual conversation.

Awesome details and it really seems like you kept an eye on overall composition as you worked this one... what a fantastic balance of dark detailed texture and glorious white spaces. Your shading's impressive from a distance and up-close. Your shading lines follow the same direction... consistantly. That's a lot of hard work and it pays off... those areas are appropriate in tone and flow. This pops out of the page and the dimension... wow.. everything has its own 3d quality and it all fits together. However this begain, it's certainly not a doodle any more - impressive work. Thanks for sharing.
