Description Normally one sees tons of photos like this in the wild, but not so much in captivity. I love how the black is so very black against the grey and blue.

Nice shot, you really don't see shots like this at facilities at all. The water is very crisp and clear, and the colors are very nice.

I see them, mostly because of poor timing. I love the idea but I do agree with others, that stage kind of kills the idea. Lovely colors though!

Thank you! I do not edit my photos into something they are not. If I edit the stage out, it no longer is a representation of what was there but rather what I see in my mind, and I do not do that. The photo was not meant to make it "wild" but to show the dorsal fins. The stage is a reminder that it is still a captive environment.

I suppose so, but artistically speaking, it is indeed a distraction as I do believe many have said. This is an art site after all.

Gorgeous! You're right, the black against the water and saddle is brilliant. If this were for the wild, it'd be the perfect ID photo XD But I like seeing them for captivity too, it's an interesting perspective.

O.o wooah. you're right the grey really pops out in this!
i love how the water gets lighter up at the top and the water coming off orkid's dorsal is very pretty. awesome.
