So much time that I don't submit a new drawing!!!Here's ELVIS PRESLEY, graphite and charcoal on watercolo paper, 35x50cm
That was such a great journey, I loved drawing his face and adding details that were not so visible on the original picture. Now I have it in my room, and it also allowed me to win 1st prize at a local competition. It got 1st place in the category "Realistic portraits"

This is the first time I have seen someone's drawing of hair where I can actually see how the hair is growing out of the SCALP. Now that is beyond impressive. I am humbled by your skills, mister. Hehe.
The scar, though completely part of the subject, may have been drawn in a more subtle way, if you may. But this is your work, and just looking at all of the rest of the beauty on this, it really doesn't matter to me. Especially that skin, oh my gosh that skin is just to-die-for.
Anyways, like I said, VERY impressive.

Thanks a lot indeed! Actually in the reference pictures tones were much more subtle. I saw those wrinkles and they also had a weird path: they were interrupted like erased in an overdone post production step on giving him a younger look maybe. So I imaged they also have them a more delicate appearance than how they originally were. My idea was too darken everything, wrinkles and pores included. I admit that maybe I exaggerated a bit!!!

Haha, perhaps it's a little bit exaggerated, but I feel like you did an awesome job bringing reality back to his image, so to speak. I don't like how studios always make people look as if they were plastic. That is not real, we have imperfection, we have scars, wrinkles, pores, blackheads even hahaha! So, for bringing realism back to the picture, congrats!!

Thank you! Yes it took me so much time because, as other portraits I did just for myself, I interrupted several times to work on other drawings and came back to it so unconstantly. But I never gave up and I am so glad that I finished it with that result
