Description Done and done. Here's the same piece from two angles. Decided to crop it, touch it up a little, and call it done. I learned a lot from this piece, overall. Some of the major points that aren't procedural include:

.) simpler is better (thank god I didn't continue how I was going).

.) Shadows are what really make art interesting to me, so I should get that down.

.) Graphite being a "metalic" (though it's not actually a metal--the more you know) reflects the light in the room differently depending on the location of the light's origin relative to the piece. See how the random strands in her bangs aren't very visible at one angle but emerge at another? This could be used for much more interesting effects. Also, because graphite reflects quite a bit of light, it pops forward more, so this could be used to distance objects in the foreground from the background. I'll be experimenting with this in my next piece.

.) I pick really boring subjects, as is typical of traditional fine art, and though this can highlight nature's beauty, it's not really engaging for me. I much more appeal to macabre (like how I think an open vertebra, exposing the spinal cord is the most beautiful thing I've seen. Ah, how I miss disections). So, since I've already abandoned working with a single medium, I also might as well pick more interesting subjects.
