Description
So Game Freak has finally decided to give a donkey pokémon ! And it is really cool !They also gave us a mosquito pokémon but unfortunately it is not based on a vampire XD.
I had this concept for a ground-grass donkey fakemon. It was one of my first designs.
They are number 23-24-25.
They are based on two concepts ! Career and the singers of Bremen (a famous fairy tale).
Donkern : Donkey + Intern.
Labrem or Harbrem : Labour + Bremen or Harvest + Bremen.
Retallow : Retired + Fallow.
Seeing their designs, I still think they are different enough to Mudbray and Mudsdale to be their own thing.
They will definitely stay on my pokédex.

I agree that they are different enough from the Mudbray line. Also, I like how you Incorporated the Singers of Bremen tale into this line's concept with the faces on the produce the middle stage is carrying. (Is the produces actually "alive" or do they just have faces?)
Is Retallow is supposed to be more special-based compared to its physical-based preevolutions, and why does its lose the produce that represented the Breman Donkey's friends?

I gave it a thought and the products are sentient. Labremen latent psychic power is giving them a personality.
However, their peremption date are closer than Labremen. So they will rot away and this will put Labremen through a short depression.
Labrement will retire from agriculture and will become Retallow.
His psychic powers awaken, Retallow will be able to communicate with the personalities it gave his products.
This shows in Retallow's new design.

I actually didn't think of making the vegetable alive because they are supposed to be the product of Labremen's labour.
But that could be an idea worth trying.
Yes ! Retallow is more special based. It is in fact not much stronger than Labremen. His attack and defense stats are reallocated to special. Because of that, it is an optional evolution and one can chose not to evolve Labremen.
I did the same with my Kirin line where you could prefer Stormicorn (dark/electric) to Quiestella (dark/fairy).
Finally, I am not finished with the designs and I am very unsatisfied with the current Retallow.
So its design will definitely evolve.
As for why it doesn't have the produces with it... Well, Retallow is retired and also in fallow.
Which means that he doesn't produce anything anymore.
With that pokémon, I wanted to show the similarity between an agriculture field and an employee.
At first they need to be prepared then they reach full potential (production) and finally, they are put to rest.
But I may consider giving friends to Retallow. It would be fun if he was a necromancer and kept his rotten produces alive.

Well most of the designs I post as sketches are not entirely finished.
Retallow's design is lacking something but I still don't know what it is.

Yeah ! Retallow is not very powerful-looking because it is so old...
That's why I need further work on the design.
