Yes more complaining from me in regards to The Sun and Moon Show but its usually on Sun's behalf, not because i hate the show--au contraire mon frère, i love this show.

Okay one of the things i point out is that Sun never catches a break; so today of all days i was going through some wiki pages from the show and read up on Sun from different realities, and let me tell you, there isnt a single one this show visits in which Sun isnt completely screwed over!

Lets see--in one reality, Eclipse won, restarted the universe with himself in charge, killed everyone, but he kept Sun alive so he could have someone to torture and even erased his memories so he doesnt remember having a good life and loving family before Eclipse crafted this mess.

In another, Moon killed Sun so he could have control of their single body and without Sun there, he just ran loose like an animal with rabies. They literally closed up the daycare to function as a cage for him, he was so damn unhinged!

In another, during the creating process, Moon's programming was messed up so they just scrapped him, so he was never built. So this Sun runs the daycare all by himself and seems more worn down, though i dont see how he's more so since the Moon in our show doesnt even help out with the daycare responsibilities at all, but the daycare did so poorly with its lack of funding, that its being closed down and Sun is going to be decommissioned (which is permanent shut down, in other words death) in a few months time.

And in another reality, Sun and Moon seperated but the processes destroyed Sun's mind, so he's not really functional. Moon got rid of the killcode but it messed him up and he's not even himself anymore and is obsessed with trying to fix Sun, but in his jumbled mind he yells at Sun's lifeless body and i think he hits him out of frustration. So Moon is just an angry shall of who he used to be and Sun is brain dead.

Oye, I know i said that Sun cant catch a break on this show, but i hadnt realize how literal that was!
It just makes me think of how Lunar got to go to a universe where Eclipse is nice to him and is the brother he always wanted. It makes me wish that Sun can go visit another universe thats actually nice for him, just freakin' once, man!

Okay, im just babbling some thoughts and im actually writing this light heartedly, so dont take what i say too damn seriously. I know Moon is just as screwed in all those Universes too. and i know he and Lunar saw some messed up crap while they were peeking into other universes.

But, man, Poor Sun needs a vacation and a lot, lot, lot of therapy, and a at least one single universe that treats him well for a damn change. If i had more time, i would draw a universe just like this for Sun. But what would it look like? and hell no, im not pairing him up with Roxanne. I like how shes grown and change and become a vastly better person, but ive never been a fan of the ship. ever. so no. Sun has talked about being lonely so maybe a universe where he's a bit on the popular side and so has friends everywhere, because these two dont really have friends. and it sucks because the other channels intersect and have the characters interact all the time, but it so rarely happens for Sun and Moon's show. Maybe in this universe Moon gets off his ass and does half the work, not only spending time with Sun but sharing the work load fairly. And maybe Sun has a skill here that he can be proud of since Moon is the smart techie one and also gets to be the magic wiz, and Sun has been teased on more than one occassion and by others besides Moon that he's stupid and during a really bad fight, Moon jabbed at him that he cant do anything but clean up messes, thats all he's good at. It was a terrible fight. So maybe in this universe Sun's gifts are more on the physical side, maybe he's fast and acrobatic and agile and chasing kids all day is his training. And he draws a lot with the kids, so maybe he can be an artist' maybe it started with the kids but maybe he self taught from there. A lot of artists are self taught. With Moon helping him in all the work, Sun would actually have time for some kind of hobby or passion and learn a few impressive skills. And he might be less scared and timid if he has some kind of physical prowess even if it is not strength based. Hmm--gotta think about this one for awhile.

Aside from the Show, the fans of Sun and Moon the characters have made a ton of neat AUs--ive seen one where they are pirates; one where they are sea creatures; one where they are detectives; ones were Eclipse is also a daycare attendant; one where they are actually Glamrocks themselves; one where Lunar is the evil mastermind and not Eclipse; many where they have become seperated and operate as independent characters; one where Sun has his own Killcode and one where he has his own killcode but it only cares about protecting him and that sounds way better than Moon's killcode in TSAMS; a universe where Vanny forces Moon to work for her or she'll hurt Sun and the arcade game with Eclipses head in it is a reminder to him of what she'll do to Sun if he disobeys, so Eclipse is really Sun but completely corrupted; an au where Sun is a scarecrow and moon is his little crow friend: an au where they are living patchwork dolls; a cowboy au; a really neat one where they are Steven Universe gems--(loved that idea!); an au where the virus affected Sun more adversely than Moon; a medieveal knight au; an au where Moon is very jealous of Sun being able to play with the kids all the time and insecure about himself; a candyland au; a christmas nutcracker play au; a circus jester au; a greek mythos au, a celestial being au; a cherub love angels au; and a very popular AU were they are lovers instead of brothers which honestly i feel works either way because they are not really brothers, not technically brothers, not literally brothers; its just how a lot of people like to think of them but that doesnt mean its canon just because you like a fan inspired idea, so if you dont like that idea, thats fine, and if you do like that idea, thats fine too. Im sure these fan inspired AUs all have angst but its nice to see fun ideas with these characters and there was nothing fun about any of the alternate universes featured in The Sun and Moon Show.
