I don't see how it's "too textured" to you at all. In fact, I don't see anything wrong with this painting to be honest. I stay away from paint cause I have no idea what I'm doing and certainly couldn't make something beautiful like this. ^-^ Wolves and coyotes are certainly beautiful and majestica nimals, which is what makes them such good candidates for art. There's literally limitless possibilities when drawing them and I love them so much. Great job! ^-^ I highly recommend you making more paintings like this.
