RAGE [Rampage/Karen Lou “Kitty” Faulkner + Hulk/Robert Bruce Banner]

Real name: Karen Roberta “Kitty” Banner.

Notes:Done based on an illustration of Rampage by Karl Kerschl for, presumably, Superman vol. 2 #201 and an artwork of Hulk for the game Marvel Ultimate Alliance, whose artist I don't know who is.

History: Kitty Banner worked at the Cadmus Base [Cadmus Project + Gamma Base], under supervision of General Thaddeus “Thade” Eiling [Gen. Wade Eiling + Gen. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross]. When the Base high rank decided to create a clone of Thor-El, she offered herself to get the stored sample of the hero’s DNA. Secretly, she picked Dark Spider’s [Batman + Spider-Man] sample instead and destroyed Thor-El’s sample. She was (correctly) suspicious of her superiors’ intentions, and if they had a clone of the most powerful superhero, it wouldn’t be a good thing.

Some months later, she left the Base and was hired to work at the STARK Labs [S.T.A.R. Labs + Stark Industries/Enterprise/Resilient]. Meanwhile, Gen. Thade discovered what she’d done with the DNA samples and plotted revenge: he bribed scientist Igor Moyers [Thomas Moyers + Igor Drenkov] to spy on her and sabotage the first big project she developed in her new job: a device that filtered gamma rays through genetically modified algae, as a way to generate safe energy. Moyer’s sabotage increased the gamma rays level and the algae’s reproduction rate, overloading the equipment. The overload alarm began to ring during a scheduled visitation of student Snapper Jones [Snapper Carr + Rick Jones] and astronomic researcher Lois Foster [Lois Lane + Jane Foster], when they were dangerously close to the machine. Kitty urged to saving them, pushing them both away from the machine and trying to revert the process. The reversion attempt failed and the machine exploded. Kitty received a burst of intense filtered radiation that transformed her into a hulking rampaging monster, with her mind regressed to a primitive and violent state. The algae’s chlorophyll made her skin and hair green.

Angry and confused, she roared and destroyed the lab around, prompting the STARK Labs crew to flee. Thor-El [Superman + Thor] appeared and intervened. After an intense fight, he absorbed part of her energy, making her revert to her normal form.

After undergoing a blood analysis and a tomography, she found out she still have modified physiology and could transform back to the monster form. Then, she moved to a lab in an isolated area and, having Snapper Jones as her assistant, she developed a regulator collar to herself, so she could retain her intelligence when transformed. Her transformation to her green form is generally triggered by anger or intense fear, although she can transform regardless of her emotions, via her regulator collar.

She is cousin of Diana Walters, a.k.a. Amazon Wonder [Wonder Woman/Diana + She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters], who gained superpowers due to a blood transfusion from Kitty.

She fell in love with Betty Eiling [Peggy Eiling + Betty Ross], who’s Thade’s stepdaughter. They eventually married, much to Thade’s displeasure. They didn’t care about his opinion, though. On the other hand, Betty’s biological father, Jack Adam [Nathaniel Adam + Jack Hart], is very supportive of the couple.
