Yay! Finally finished this after hours and hours of working on this! Heres my entry for TheSparklyMisfit contest she is holding! Please enjoy the short story below!

Day after day its been fighting your life after what...? Since a couple of weeks ago at least? People have lost track of time and have focused on just surviving. Even the most unlikely people have become allies. Its all become survival.

What caused all this was that Eggman had begun attacking a couple of places with his EggPawns to attempt world domination again, but somehow or someway, they had a sudden surge in dark power. Eggman's own robots turned on him! The power seemed to cause a change in the robots and they have all become black masses of dark energy that mercilessly attacked everyone. The robots had an unbelievable surge in power and strength that not even one person can take them out. They're not impossible to destroy, but its dangerous enough to just face one robot.

Somewhere, there was three girls out scavenging for supplies and traversing through an empty field. It was early dawn and had recently just gone out into the wasteland. They seemed to prefer going out and doing all the dangerous work for their group back in the shelter they live in. The girls thought staying inside in safety wasn't really befitting to them in their opinion.

"I bet we're gonna find some good stuff out there today, I know it!" A firey haired hedgehog cheered confidently while stretching. The echidna on the opposite side of her sighed. "Well, perhaps we would've had more food yesterday if you had refrained from attacking that EggPawn, Chichi."

Chichi scoffed and laughed it off, the comment seemed to have no effect on her at all. "Chill Aurora. I was simply performing a sneak attack on it so we could have an advantage! That EggPawn was clearly in our way...y'know, just took it out real chill and lowkey."

"This is coming from the girl who doesn't know how to chill out herself and attacks everything that moves!' The blue fox laughed as she caught up to the two who had been ahead of her. "After you attacked that guy, we had three more show up and chase us. That wasn't very lowkey either."

"Whatever Sparkle, we're alive right now on this brand new day! Thats what matters now right?" Chichi remarked as she crossed her arms.

The trio continued and went around to the city in search of food as last time was a bust. They attempted at revisiting the place where they last had some food before it was lost, but upon arriving there wasn't even a morsel of bread or anything. It was all gone so now they had to shift their focus to searching another place. "Ok this can't be that bad, we should try other places. This good enough for a try anyway." Sparkle sighed as she kicked a around some rubble.

What else could they do? The trio went around and eventually had some luck finding some cans of food. It was good enough to least a few days so with that they left until they made it back to the empty field from before and came across a group of EggPawns. It almost seemed as if they were waiting for the girls to arrive.

"Nice, this should be fun!" Chichi exclaimed as she immediately went into a fighting stance with flames on her hands already. Sparkle nodded with a confident smile and got ready to run. "You bet!"

Aurora sighed and tossed aside the cans of food. "Lets just get this over with." She then got ready and prepared her powers as they glowed brightly on the palms of her hands.
