The costume is built on a bra that I found at Marshall's for $7. The purple fabric was fabric I bought, as was the marabou. It's actually really sturdy.

I'm from Michigan. Haha yea that wouldn't happen with this costume at all. I make sure all of my costumes are secure enough to avoid that sort of mishap.

Not bad, not bad. Vinyl is a bit of an odd choice for a fantasy character, but I suppose whatever works, right?
You have a very nice, milky complexion. I wouldn't get a tan if I were you, but then I'm not, am I? It really is up to you.

Hey!
Personally, I can't give a full crit since this is a WIP, but the outfit (sans, back sail thing..) looks very well constructed.
My only main dish is the sudden rift in between forehead and wig, otherwise, keep it up.

Yea the wig is sitting back a bit in this picture. There were better pictures posted today, I might put another one up.

LOL thanks... It'll look even better when I redo the sleeves and collar, and edging. (and billions of other things).

The boots are ankle boots, they just matched the fabric exactly.

Oh my. Despite all the flaws you pointed out, the dress (if you could call what she wears a dress x3 ) came out really good! The wig looks strangely uniform, though.
But you have plenty of time to improve on the outfit. And may I suggest using a lighter weight material for the collar? Maybe that was why it wasn't staying upright. Or you could use lots and lots of stiff wire...

If I changed the material for the collar it wouldn't look right. I'm just going to use a stiffer inside piece or use heavier gauge wire to make boning faux boning along the fun foam.

Hm. Think you can post pictures of it while you're making it? I'd like to see how it works and how you do it.

Wee! Leblanc! For all the stuff you need to fix, I'm still in awe. Vinyl kind of scares me.

For some reason my machine prefers vinyl to normal fabric.

Oh reeeeally? Interesting. My machine HATES spandex. but it doesn't seem to mind the imitation leather I used for my AC Tifa (but that's probably because I used uholstry thread and denim needles). I'll have to buy a bit of vinyl and see how it holds up, for future costumes.

What kind of presser foot do you have? I bought a $35 teflon coated foot so I could make LeBlanc without sticking.

Whatever came with my machine. Just a regular Brother one. Which might explain why the spandex kept getting caught. I'll probably have to look into buying one of those whenever I pursue my adventures in vinyl. I also need a zipper foot. *sigh* I have no monies though.

Yea. I got a special one from the Husqvarna store since mine is a Viking. You'll probably be able to find a universal one. If your feet snap into place you might be able to use the Vikinh one.

Wow, I didn't think a person would make a FF x-2 reference besides me, you look good! Just a little suggestion though, try in photoshop or GIMP, to alter the chest area so it doesn't look like your wearing the bra (yeah, it's visible).
Good job though, this came out quite well.

Yea, I didn't think greasy would look so good on me but I've gotten a major request to make it messier and piecier. I'm also redoing it because it was crushed by the collar. XD

Care to see my one screenpic of the "Duty Calls" Mission from X-2? I just thought it was that gross and hilarious.
