Maybe more like a rich purple, like the gems in her jewelry. I believe white on white is too tacky. (I know, Celestia is not completely white but she's nearly white. which still wouldn't go well.)

Maybe if the collar was rich purple and the lace around the frills was gold? Would that work? Or would it look better reversed, like how her necklace is (i.e. gold collar, purple lace) ?
