I let myself in. "Hello?" By now I knew I was welcome here, but, I still knocked as I did so 'cause y'know, manners and stuff.
"Here again?" I heard that gloomy guy ask with that usual grumpy voice of his. Sounded like it came from the living room.
"Mhm." So, I peeked in. I was right. "..Is Izzy here?"
He turned his head towards me with little effort, giving me a glance. "Yeah, the brat's been up in his room all day."
Like usual, he had a protective, yet odd hold on that Ooumi kid again. What, had they been laying down or somethin'? "Tan, be nice.."
He glanced the other direction as their eyes met, but then surprisingly obeyed. "..Tch, fine."
I didn't really understand those two most of the time, seemed pretty polar to me, or at least mix-matchy. 'They love eachother,' Izzy would tell me, 'Just too stupid to figure it out.' I guess so. "Yeaah, thanks, I guess." With a slight salute, I headed for the staircase. "Later."
"..Hn?" He had already forgotten my presence and began to lay back down again, taking Ooumi with him.
"T-Tan..!"

As I made my way up, I skipped every other step. I was excited for today, but I needed to try my best and not give it away. While I turned the knob I tried to open the door quietly, I hoped I could surprise him like this too. I eased my way in, noticing I could have the opportunity to do so. His back was facing towards me, I woulda moved immediately if I hadn't been stopped by the..remaining sight of him. One of my other hoodies I had gave him, 'cause he said he wants to see the one I always wear only on me, began to roll off his shoulders. Those shoulders. Obviously it swallowed him, but it looked pretty wrinkly from what I could tell. H-Had he been sleeping in it? The hoodie fell freely until he grasped it and I felt my cheeks warm up quickly. T-That ivory skin. Finally realizing he still hadn't moved, I took the opportunity I had intended in the first place. I snuck over, grabbing him by his waist and pulling him back into me. "He-" I then stopped, realizing how stiff he suddenly became. "..Izzy?"
He didn't move at all, like he was...frozen solid? "..K-Ka-..?"
Quickly doing one of the things that I've learned seems to help, I loosened my grip enough to lean down and press my lips softly against the back of his neck.
In an instant, I saw, and felt, his whole body relax at the touch. "..N-Nn..Idiot.." I dunno why this happens sometimes, but I guess I should've known better, 'been more careful. Ever since she came along he's been pretty tense. Acting like..he has to always look over his shoulder or something.
I think he thinks I don't see it, but I do. "Yes~?" But, I'll let him keep thinking that for now. Besides, there's something far more important to focus on today than her.
"T-Tch!" He quickly pulled away from me, dropping the hoodie and scrambling into his closet to find a shirt to put on. Darn.
After a while he came back over to me, with that 'aggravated' look on his face. "There's a thing called privacy, you know."
I shrugged a little. "Is there?"
"Tch." His brow began to furrow. "So what are you doing here?"
I could only smile.
"..Eh?" I noticed his face turn a different shade and his tone became more aggressive. "What do you want?"
I smiled a little to myself. By now I knew it was only one of those 'mechanisms' of his'. "I wonder." I then leaned down, quickly kissing his cheek. "Happy Birthday."

welp, just a belated giftie for Izzy and Kazu too in a way ;////U////; <3

f-ffs, i hope i dolled Kazu okish and that i kindasorta got him in character o///rz;;;

ANYWHO, this is sorta an introthing to this lovely one
even though she technically made hers first, hers would be the continuation of it ;///u///; <3333
