°jark is one of the cofounders of DeviantArt. He was recently and unjustly fired from his position at Devart without so much as an explanation. As a result, serval DevArt admins have resigned in protest, and a large population of DevArtists have have either removed their artwork from the site or "painted" their icons yellow in support of °jark , whose icon is a yellow alien. The major concern of these artists is that certain higher-ups in the infrastructure, namely $spyed , are more interested in making money than supporting as a community.

Thank you so much I really wanted to create a satire...and I thought that using an advertisement (designed to make $$$) for the basis of my design would be a great concept because of the contrast it creates between jark's representation of community and the impending presence of "corporate" DA leaders...

Absolut is a brand of vodka. Their advertisements began with something basic like this [link]
The concept became wildly popular, and there were TONS of spin offs. go to [link] and type in absolut vodka. You'll find HUNDREDS of spin offs...

lol, true true. My favourite advertisment I've seen would probably be one for Strange Adventures, a comic shop. They spraypaint EVERYTHING.
