And my human AU has now come back to haunt me again-

This time though, instead of a random scene, its character designs!

Now, my science teacher is one of the most existential people on the planet, and my class and I commonly exchange existential topics and idea with him, sometimes so much so that we run into teaching time. That's what happened yesterday, so it basically became art class instead of Chemistry. I started doodling human Coda, then Segno came along and got added and before I really knew what I was doing I had decided to draw the whole family (minus parents). Probably a good thing, since for Coda being one of the main characters I haven't touched on his family an awful lot.

Taryn and Oscar are based off of Timeman and Oilman, Oscar having been adopted by the family before Coda was even born. Actually, all three of them are adopted, Oscar just twice, since shortly before the Human AU story takes place, Coda and Taryn's blood parents are taken out by a drunk driver... Yea I'm cruel but Coda needs a reason to have nightmares like he does in the Megaman universe.

They're really close-knit, and are actually all on the same grade, despite Coda being almost 4 years younger than them, seeing as he's really smart and was bumped up a few grades. He's a smart kid, but people like picking on him because he's shy and really young compared to them.

Segno is a Maine Coon/Savannah mix that Coda's adopted parents gave to him as a present to try and help him with all the stress from being picked on so much in school. He's still the slightly snarky kitty he is in the Megaman universe, he's just smaller and Coda can't understand him anymore.

Taryn is an artist, hence the messenger bag on his shoulder: it carries his many sketchbooks and his art supplies so that he can draw whenever he has the time (no pun intended). He's rather protective of Coda, but he's not the strongest character... Another reason why he carries around that bag, so that if the bullies go too far he can whack them with it. Let's just say most of Coda's tormentors don't even bother when Taryn's around after getting hit with that bag. He's still very much a perfectionist, his drawings often taking ages before he's ready to show anyone, and he tends to follow a well-thought-out schedule, much like his in-game counterpart.

Oscar basically lives in the water. Back when their parents were alive and they lived by the beach, you'd often find him there after school, surfing, swimming, or just doing his homework on the sand. He's on the school's swim team, and is one of their top freestyle swimmers, right next to human-AU Bubble, one of his friends. However, he is also one of the most forgetful people on the entire planet. He's commonly forget about his homework until the last minute, he's often fashionably late to events and parties unless Taryn's helping to remind him, and he'd lose his own head if it wasn't attached. On days when he has swim meets after school, then he wears his goggles all day and just throws on sweatpants over top of his swim shorts, so he doesn't end up forgetting where he put them.

TBH, creating and planning this little family has made me realize why I don't have that many characters based off of me: I put a little bit of me into every character I write or draw. Coda has my morals, Segs has my occasional sass, Taryn/Time has my artistic ability and sarcasm, and Oscar/Oil has my tendency to forget things. It's weird the things I subconsciously do to avoid Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus.

Also sorry again for not replying to roleplays, my creative writing juices have been drained earlier this week, I'm having trouble writing anything storyline-related, hence why I'm just here planning characters.
