Excellent work, I wish I could draw that well.
Great detail and shading, just one curious question - did you draw this in situ or after a photo at home? Either way it is grea, but in situ must have been even harder (I imagine...)
Keep up the good work

Wow, thanks for the feature in the fortnight spotlight! and thanks everyone for all the kind comments. This pic first started out as a sketch I started, sitting outside the castle, as it just started to rain, and I finished it up more when I got home. It is actually not as finished as I usually do! but I liked it as it was, hence the post.
Kind Regards

very lovely way to handle the beach. the negative space of the rocks against the white was well handled. As well with the reflection in the water.

Beautiful detail and shading, id love to see a painting as well. My opnly qualm, and it i minor one is it doesent quite pull me in as much as it could. The picture has a strong linear nature going from the top right corner to the bottom left.i love the clouds, the way the fall in folds almost, and the bold highlight sends your eay right into the castle. That wonderfull reflection then catches your eye, most definately pulling down where i conects right into the shope line a continuation of the lcourser lines in the corner, that itself is fine, but the combination of these lines sends your eye right through the picture, and out the bottom corner. An old friend of mine always stressed that you should never terminate a line in a corner, it makes an arrow pionting out of your picture, if you ever hung this in a gallery, you would only be sending someones eye into another picture. even if that picture was not as beautifully detailed and conceived as this.

This drawing looks awesome, drawing architecture w/landcapes by pencil is my favorite activity (I have something similar to this in my page) You can import this drawing to photoshop and make all the lines and colors look the way you want to make it darker and saturated perhaps? On what size paper did you draw this marvelous drawing?
