my first real photomanip ever. considering my skills, i am relatively proud of this. i think it took about 7 hours (straight).... i dunno i lost track of time

Very nice idea for a photomanip and one the better done mermaids I've seen in awhile!
The biggest thing this image is lacking is some more contrasting lighting! Moonlight hits EVERYTHING. Some reflections on the water surface, the rock and reflecting on her would be a beautiful addition I think. Also a little bit of shadow on the rock beneath where she is sitting would give her a more grounded appearance.

Another bit of advice is to look up photo references if you're ever not sure too. I do this LOTS. In fact that's how I came across your work. Was browsing for some reference on lighting of rocks at night. SO you learn and find new wonderful art! Beautiful photography you have!
