Been a while since I've played tank strategy games, but I seem to remember this one was very effective when used the right way

You said the Jagdpanzer is a freebee? Where is it, if I may?

Oh ... and use Jagdpanther as search word, not Jagdpanzer!

Thanks!
And yes, you are correct on it being a Jagdpanther. My mistake!

Available for free both as Poser or Vue versions in many places. Contentparadise and Cornucopia3D for example.

Well done - The Jagdpanther is not really a tank, it is actually a tank destroyer that used the chassis of a Panther tank - the main difference is that it has a more powerful hull-mounted gun and no turret.

Though it shows my age, I played Panzer Blitz back in the day. (A board game by Avalon Hill.)

Ah, it looks similar to the computer games I mentioned. "Turn-based strategy game" is a more fun concept than these real-time ones they keep making these days

Well now I play World of Warships (and post screenshots from it), as I live in a semi-rural area and getting people together to play board games on a regular basis is impossible. The same company has another game World of tanks but, as my gaming time is limited and I prefer naval games, I don't play it. I quite enjoy the real time-ness of it, too.

I think I saw some review of it at some point and decided to skip it for some reason. Have enjoyed submarine games, like the Silent Hunter series. I prefer single player games with playable campaigns.
Usually I stay away from real-time strategy games, but the Total War series I did like
I've seen TV commercials about World of Tanks, but that's all I know about it. Looked like an arcade game in the commercials.

Both World of Tanks and World of Warships are semi-arcade. The thing I like about World of Warships is that it isn't twitch response intensive like COD, etc. I am a fan of naval history and love the ships (which are very detailed), most of which actually existed. There are a few "paper" ships (designs that were never completed), to fill gaps in some of the tech trees), but they are the exception for most nations.
