Midfire Barium green bottle on YG clay, wheelthrown,I love this bottle, the matte finish, unlike other matte glazes is really smooth and soapy, full of barium but wonderful to hold

I've replaced the barium with strontium which is safe, the glaze result is 99.99% the same

Barium is really nasty stuff when you have to drink it. YUCK! But it really sets this piece off.

They give barium to people to drink to do abdominal and bowel studies, and I've had my fair share and then some. The joys of living in my body.

yeah, it is very tactile, the way things feel really makes a big difference, that's why I hate galleries 
although I do at exhibitions when noone is looking

It was on the web somewhere but I can't remember where, it was added to my notes and months later decided to try it, it fires @ cone 6-8
