Description The player's handbook for D&D 5th edition got released, so I can show the items I did for it! Here we have a halfling backpack and its contents, and various denominations of coins.

I got to work in a small inside joke on this one. One of my friends (who is also happens to be an illustrator! maggieivy.com/ ) plays a halfling in our Pathfinder campaign, and once hid in a barrel of pickles during combat, earning her the nickname Pickles for the rest of the game. So, when I got the chance to paint a halfling's supplies, I had to include some pickles!

Oh, very good indeed. Leave it to a hobbit to carry a flute instead of a weapon. (Truth be told when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a slingshot, which sounds like a perfect halfling weapon.) The coinage reminds me of ancient Chinese and Japanese currency. Not only were the coins of differing metals, different denominations had separate shapes. Very handy for an illiterate population

Thanks! If I remember correctly, the brief called for miscellaneous items. Practical things, minor adventuring gear, odd keepsakes, rather than weapons and armor.

Did you personally devise those nifty new coin designs? I quite like the idea that maybe the copper, silver and electrum could be strung on a string. I also consider that maybe merchants (or anyone dealing with large amounts of coin) could craft a holder for each coin type kind of like how our modern paper coin rolls work.

Thanks! I was actually working from detailed descriptions on the coins' designs, though.
