I can almost hear Hiccup saying something unintentionally awkward like,"Well its not the size that matters you know, its how you use it!"
My first time drawing Astrid! And Hiccup actually looking a little like himself at that!
I just love the pictures of Astrid wielding a huge battle axe like a bad ass, whereas Hiccup probably wouldn't even be able to lift it!

This is cute,a nd i adore your style. :]
However, I'm not so sure Hiccup is as weak as people tend to characterize him as being. At the beginning of the movie they make a point of showing us that he could lift a huge hunk of metal up and hang it on a wall, and again when he brings a huge basket/sack full of rather large fish down into a cove, which exists in what appeared to be a pretty fair distance from his village. So to say that he couldn't lift an axe is kind of presumptuous, in my opinion, at least.

Hmm yes, you have a point. Its been awhile since I watched the movie, and I couldn't remember any heavy lifting off the top of my head, that's why I just assumed. I think the idea might have come from when he was in the arena, and he chose the dagger from the weapons rack. I know he chose it cause he didn't plan on hurting the dragon, but to everyone watching him they just thought he was a weakling.

I have no idea, but she does it quite easily in the movie so I guess her arms are all muscle.
