I have for a long time meant to upload folding instructions for origami ponies which I made a while ago. Somehow I kept forgetting about doing this
These instructions lay out how to fold a simple origami pony (earthpony, unicorn, pegasus or alicorn) from a square sheet of paper. It is based on the so called "bird base" (one of the most frequent starting point for all kinds of origami figures).
Unlike many origamit figures this one requires a few cuts. If you want to you can create more detailed manes for your pony figures with a few more cuts along the paper edges folded to the inside of the pony's head.
By varying the position of the legs and (in case of pegasi or alicorns) wings you can create a wide variety of postures for your origami ponies. Here are a few examples:

Probably the only origami I am good at doing is the occasional cootie catcher XD. I did have an art kit years and years ago that had origami supplies in it, but as with most of the other art kits I have received over the years, I would open it once or twice but slowly but surely forget about it.

And I would have to look up a folding instruction for a cootie catcher myself to make one (no kidding)
I started doing origamis only in summer 2015, but never regretted starting this. One of the most delightful thing about origami is how with merely a little sheet of square paper and a little practice you can spread a lot of joy when giving origamis to people time and again. Give a kid an origami pony or an origami Millenium Falcon or the like and you'll get a smile that will make your day

I'm pretty sure I am going to do more origami projects in the future. They just don't come as regularly anymore as back in 2016 when origami was the main thing I was doing while now there are so many different forms of fanart to create.
