Description
This is the character of a friend for a brief RPG I ran. It was a homebrewed setting that mixed elements from R.E. Howard's stories of the Hyborian Age, in that the story was a sword & sorcery yarn in the vein of Conan the Barbarian. I also took lots of inspiration from the Forgotten Realms-game Icewind Dale, in that the action was set in a wild frontier settled by colonists seeking a living in the far north.

"The Wolfman" is a northern barbarian on a vision-quest of some sort, as he believes himself to be possessed by the wolf-god of his people, which drives him to seek glorious adventure. He travels across the frozen tundra to the fortified town of Gul Dorn, built around an ancient Elven watch-tower taken over by southern colonists trying to secure a foothold in the inhospitable land of Thule. Being an adventurer in a fantasy RPG, the Wolfman ends up in the company of a few other sell-swords who are hired as "assistants" by the head-mage of the town.

The character was essentially a very Conan-like barbarian, but with a persona heavily inspired by the wrestler Ultimate Warrior, meaning that he was a boisterous brawler that went on long-winded rants about the mystical energies around him. His appearance is modeled after Darkwolf, from Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta's awesome film "Fire & Ice".
