I think your piece communicates the theme of "light" quite effectively, especially with the fog in the atmosphere spreading it out instead of diffusing too much of it. I don't think the idea of a magically lit forest scene is necessarily original per critique guidelines, but it is classic and timeless, and your take on it is refreshing. There are a lot of golden rays of sun out there, and yours here is a more crisp, chilly autumn than golden summer sun if you will. I really appreciate how you have a soft image here without losing any of the finer details. I think your point of light at the top is a hair "blown out", but whereas that would be a negative in any other image, i think it works very much in your favor here to communicate your theme in a way that simple rays of sun couldn't. Overall I'm loving the whole piece and what i feel when i look at it. I love autumn as it is and I'm really feeling it here, as well as a bit intrigued by what may lie beyond the mist. I can almost smell the smoke from a distant fireplace and feel the chill of November in the air here; you've really taken me away from florida with this picture; very well done.

Very beautiful. I always love the play of the sunlight that shines through the trees and leaves rays of light. You photos leaves a feeling of the mysterious and magical. Like the entry to a wood of the old stories.
