Protector of Chaos: Destiny XIssue 1: Page 2
Meet my demi-OCs! (what I call official characters who have been designed and/or developed by me as characters in my stories when they previously didn't have designs or personal qualities, making them half-OCs and half-FCs)
If we're all looking at the last panel, from left to right we have Mimas (mee-mus), Rhea (ray-uh), and Saturn (which you should know how to pronounce), their troop leader. Together, they are Team Saturn. All echidnas. If you're familiar with Sonic Chronicles, you'll recognize their uniforms immediately. They're all members of the Nocturnus Clan, which are now the Nocturnus Police Force in my comic. You'll have to keep reading to find out the clan's role in the story and what has changed within the Nocturnus since the end of Chronicles and Ix's leave.

Yeah, been looking a LOT into everything that has to do with the echidnas in Sonic's world. . . so much unfinished lore.
Let me guess. . . these guys are the descendants of stragglers from Ix's military after the Nocturnus Cage barrier was broken? Am I guessing too hard there?

Nah, we're in the present during Sonic's regular timeline. Arc 2 will take place in Silver's timeline, the future (assuming I can even get that far lol). Arc 2 will basically be the comic version of POC 2 with a remastered storyline to continue Arc 1's story.

How you use her will really help interest me. She does get a fair amount of text in her debut game. We just don't get to see much of her underlying thinking.

That's true, but I really love that challenge. It leaves plenty of room for me to reshape and redefine who she is. I just hope others will approve.

Yeah, I know how that is. (I'm hoping people think that I get Knuckles right. . . yeesh. . . he's depicted with such bipolarity at times.)
Shade I plan to write as a more reclusive character who lacks self confidence, but will always do what she knows she must do mechanically. Her no longer having the Nocturnus clan and a clear authority structure has shaken her worldview.
Also, in the games, when she turns on Ix, it's rather sudden. I have a feeling she had a lot more internal conflict and previous reasons to disown him. I'd really like to know why she did what she did though- without someone telling me it's because of "lazy writing."
Now that Chronicles never had a sequel though, it looks like we may never know the full backstory of Shade. Which is a bummer, I feel like they were only getting started. :/
