Description All That Was

One of my favourites for sure.
This was originally set to be a Collab but that never really happened so yeah, all mine .

The terrain was obviously done in Terragen.
The water was never actually there, I manniped it in using the sky as a reflection and a picture of a beach for mini-waves.
It could have worked better don't ya think?
Although I don't think that part came out to bad seeing as the sky was re-Rendered and fixed in. Dodgy in parts.
Umm, the space scene, I quite like how it turned out, all that 'nebula' was drawn in with my Wacom Tablet. Yi! I love that thing.
By the way, sorry for the size! The next one wont be so big width wise. Promise.

So yeah, that's it, thanks for viewing .

Excellent job! Even though you wouldn't be able to see stars just yet, this is amazing! I love the lighting & the "strings" of light in between the stars.

Damn, that's excellent. Though, I have just 1, maybe 2 comments to critique you. Some minor gaps in the water, no big deal, it's an excellent effect. And the mountains, the ones furthest away from the viewer and closest to the sun's glare on the ocean... The edges look just a little choppy. Otherwise, excellent.

Yeah, that bit of the graphic was hard to get to work, but thanks for the comment and thanks for the critique .

*jaw drop* Full View is FANTASTIC!! It's so life-like (not that you see a nebula in the sky, but apart from that) and you've out-done youself on the sun... It's hypnotising! I love the two birds in the sky as well! They add a lovely touch!! Just in awe!! *stares*

Way to many stars. Terragen render is beautiful, but looking at the brightness of the sun, only the very bright stars would be visible. The nebula is cool, but it doesn't fit in the scene.

Mark-S In reply to LitoNico [2006-01-03 01:24:50 +0000 UTC]

I see. I thought I was going a bit over with the stars.

Kakorrhaphiophobia [2006-01-02 17:32:25 +0000 UTC]

I love it all, but the space part. Honestly.

Perhaps you should post another version without the space part, only then will it get a from me

It is well done, just doesn't fit. The birds/effects are nice and the terragan part is ridiculously good. Do you make your own surface maps?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mark-S In reply to Kakorrhaphiophobia [2006-01-03 01:26:37 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for being honest, I know it doesn't fit in well but I still love it .
And nah that surface map isn't mine. I'll note you about it all when I get back later today.

Gonna be straight with you here, the space is useless and ruins the piece.

I absolutely love the terragen part

Awesome texturing!! You definetly did a great job there
Only one minor thing, the land framing the water, there is a line that was created by the sharpening, it can easily be erased and evened up to your water again and look much better. But otherwise this is excellent work
