I'm not dead!Just severely un-inspired
.I'm waiting for the TerraSpace pack to be released so I can submit the image I was working on for so damn long... Even though I don't really like that one either I needa keep active
.Sorry for the reso as well.. I got carried away

About 5 hours or so in Photoshop 7, hope you all like it!

Umm i hardly ever take my time to really make a good long critic to anyone but here goes:
1. Stars
Good basic starfield i can see. But the lower part of the piece is a bit empty so it would've perhaps looked a little better with a some sort of nebula in it or thicker spacedust.
2. The planet
Frankly the lighting is a bit off in it. The whole planet texture is almost covered with shadow.
3. Overall
I know it's hard to make a "masterpiece" when you're lack of inspiration because i'm in that same situation too at the moment. But very descent work over all. Just the lighting and starfield needs more work.

Overall nice job, but I think the planet looks a little too oversharpened. Also flat maybe a bit.
I like the feeling to this one however, good depth too.
