Hi, the background was airbrushed with acrylic paints (the Brees image was masked off and left the color of the paper). The fleur-de-lis was cut out with a stencil and then airbrushed the same as the rest.

A lot of patience lol...I individually draw all the holes in first usually and then fill in the shadows. Some jerseys (like the Saints) have crosshatched stitching, so I'll lightly draw diagonal lines across the holes to get that particular texture.

So as far as the holes goes there's no planning, just making tiny circles?

I draw holes across in lines horizontally, each consecutive line of holes has to be shifted, like a brick pattern. The only time I'm careful about placing them is on folds in the jersey because the holes can change size and direction.

Thank you! Ha that would be funny if Drew signed SB MVP on every pic, actually he asked me if I wanted anything special written on it so I asked if he could write that. He was a real nice guy, one of the few athletes I've met who really appreciated the time spent on the artwork.
