Did you make this HDR from multiple exposures (classical HDR), or was this a post-effect applied to the „non-HDR“ picture?

I prefer the non-HDR version of this particular photo. The natural contrast balance of the low sun angle is completely lost in the HDR shot. I think HDR is useful with indoor shots with large areas such as cathedrals and churches where shadow detail can be brought out. I was never a big fan of HDR in outdoor landscape photography as it brings an 'artificial' feel to the photos, but that's just my opinion.
