Description
A pic of my Void Fighter "Ty". She was retired for a looong time and stopped training religiously. She's a bit softer and less muscular now, but still in fighting shape. I colored a rough sketch for practice (the b/w version is in scraps).
I did this awhile ago, mainly to pick out the colors of her new design. I may lightbox her later on and do this up right.

This is nice!

btw, what kind of light box do you recommend. i keep going back to the art store and changing my mind about whether i want to buy one or build my own...

Thanks Eurayo.
I was told that lightboxes are easy to make, but I suggest just buying one. I got an 11x17 one years ago for about $70, and I haven't even needed to change the bulb yet. Its hard to draw well on the edges with comic board, but it does the job.

That's the size and price range I'm looking looking at. There's one with a plastic frame and slanted surface from Artograph I might get. It's 12" x 18" and I tend to be rough with things so I want something light and sturdy but low-cost. The others cost twice as much and aren't designed for hours of drawing.

I still have my old Hal Foster Animation book (by Preston Blair). It was $2.50 and had an animation light box design on the back page. Olukun's DSX teaser has me wanting to try animatig some stuff now...
