Sabrina and Paul, a couple longing for time together, were planning a vacation. Every day, Sabrina sat in front of her laptop for hours while Paul watched curiously. "What are you up to all day?" he asked with a mischievous smile.
"Nothing in particular, really," Sabrina replied distractedly as she hastily closed the tab containing myths about magical places. In truth, she was sifting through the legends of possible vacation destinations, hoping for a wonderful and magical adventure.
Almost two weeks later, Sabrina finally found what she was looking for. An ancient legend of a magical rock in the Maldives captured her attention. Every aspect of the ritual to unleash the rock magic she studied with growing excitement.
Without informing Paul, Sabrina booked the plane tickets. Paul had already resigned himself to the fact that Sabrina had her own idea of this vacation and had left her complete freedom of choice.
One evening, as the sun was slowly setting, Sabrina proudly revealed her choice of vacation destination. Paul was pleasantly surprised by the Maldives, having expected far more far-fetched ideas. "That sounds really exciting, honey," he remarked with a smile.
Three weeks later, Sabrina and Paul found themselves in the Maldives, in a charming hotel room on stilts in the turquoise sea. The urge to be active was in the air, but Sabrina surprised Paul again by not wanting to go in the water on the first day. Instead, she decided to walk along the beach.
Paul was confused and curious when he saw Sabrina putting various items in her backpack. "What do you have in there?" he asked curiously. "Just a few things for the hike," she said mysteriously, laughing.
Hours later, they reached the mysterious rock that was so much more than just a rock to Sabrina. Paul couldn't understand why his girlfriend was so excited about this ordinary-looking rock.
Puzzled, he watched as Sabrina prepared the ritual. She rubbed various flowers on the rock and sat down on it. Quickly, she sprinkled more salt over herself and reached for a shell. Paul could not help but intervene when Sabrina broke the shell and tried to cut her leg with it. But it was too late. A few drops of blood fell on the rock, and an intense vibration ran through the ground. Dumbfounded, Paul saw Sabrina's legs fuse into a fishtail-like body.
Horrified, he asked, "What is this? What have you done, Sabrina?" Sabrina smiled and quietly explained, "I wanted to feel the magic, Paul. I wanted to experience something unique."
The two sat down together and discussed what to do next. Sabrina could no longer walk, but the joy of her transformation outweighed any worries. They concluded that Paul would go back to the hotel and Sabrina would swim.
Later, Paul sat on the balcony and waited, his feet dangling into the water. He began to worry that something bad might have happened to Sabrina when he couldn't see his girlfriend even after a long time. But suddenly she appeared in front of him, her radiant smile displacing Paul's dark thoughts.
Joyfully, he helped her into the room and lovingly carried her to the bed. "Are you okay?" he asked anxiously. Sabrina nodded and asked softly, "Paul, do you still love me, even now that you know about my secret preference?"
Paul looked deeply into her eyes and smiled warmly. "Sabrina, you are just as fascinating as the stories that thrilled us as children. Having you as a mermaid is a dream come true for me, too."
They spent the remaining days of their vacation swimming in the sparkling sea and enjoying the magic of the Maldives to the fullest. In the gentle waves of the turquoise sea, Sabrina and Paul found an adventure far beyond their wildest imaginations.
