this is very beautiful. the anatomy is so perfect, i especially love the detail of the eyes and around the eyes c: especially because thats where most people tend to look first. its so eye-capturing. i really like the shadow/sky? behind him, it gives it much more depth to it all.

Yep, all pen c: with some watercolour for the background.
I kind of let my hand flow with the pen to give it that look, and so I didnt have to rub out pencil afterwards :/

Well only a rough light circle and squiggly line was drawn in pencil to roughly plot out the picture then the rest was done in pen. I dont think your missing anything XD
