Yeah, I gotta say, I liked it more than the Gene Wilder one, but not by much mind you, but it was better in my mind. Plus, Dahl's wife even said it was more what she thought her husband had in mind for the story, safe and childlike, but with that little hint of darkness to it. Plus, Johnny is just that right bit of maniacal to be Willy Wonka..

Thanks...it was one of my favorite roles of his, and, i'm not ashamed to say, I liked his Willy better than Gene Wilder....although, that is somewhat like comparing say...Cake to a really good hamburger....both are great in thier own way...but some like one the best, others like the other one.

I just thanked you in those comments on the bottom of your page..but I'm a slow typer..(Hey, I'm a guy with huge hands...didn't know if I had mentioned that before. I'm 6' 7" 350, and can hold a 12" ruler in my hand laying one end on my thumb, the other on my pinky.) So bear with me, I'm getting more and more practice.
Did I just babble too much here. See that happens after I take my pill for my back...those Vicadins...(i don't know how to spell it, and right now..don't care..lol) but they make me babble sometimes. (Damn, there I go again)
