Description
So, the scarf didn't take as long...Anyway..this is the 4th "in character" portrait I have done of Johnny Depp. And this is about as finished as I wanted to get. (Had no plans on doing the jacket at all.) So just a few more hours...and this will be released in theaters everywhere. (shameless plug) Hope you enjoy!!!

Another that I can't believe I have only drawn once. Watched the movie again the other night, and if I wasn't working on something else already, probably would have done another. But no fear, I'll finish the current one, and this will be on again this month, so keep an eye out.

FANTASTIC WORK! It really looks like johnny depp.
However, you seem to have maaaaaaybe gone a bit too far on the right side of his face, i love it and I tend to do this to though.

He's one of my favorite actors{unfortunately I haven't seen on this role yet(Sweeeney Todd)}..I just can't understand how is that he hasn't got an Oscar so far!?

very good detail....but one thing, on the right, the cheek bone up to the eye brow seems a bit out of shape......but uder then that very good work , as specialy the hair detail (srry for the bad spelling)

When I was in classes it took me longer, cause you have rules to follow. But once out of all that, I picked up things here and there to speed things up. For most, if not all, portraits I do from photos, I use a grid technique...makes it a lot quicker and really accurate...while still using all the techniques and stuff I learned in school...negative shapes and all that stuff...(most of the time I didn't pay attention...lol)

awesome. i did a self portrait that i used the grid method. i liked it alot. although, it still took me a good three weeks to complete. haha! i'll get to your level of amazingness one day!
