Omg, that is something very glorious and detailed. *_* When you look at this, should I say painting, and the photograph you really can't say which one is the real beetle.

After this point I would have added some lower opacity strokes of white for more contrast (from the looks of the reference).

Boohaha...okay, maybe it was closer to two hours. XD Yah, there's something about the abdomen i still don't like; i went over the edges with a little bit of color saturation, and i think i could have left it alone and it woul've looked betta. Live and learn
