A special micro book this time...a hiding place for all the miniature secrets you might have
This book is 2.5 cm x 2 cm size and looking from outside, there's 24 pages in it. Only, just few first and last pages are flippable, rest is a realistic looking cover for small hiding space...use your imagination about what you could keep in there
By now, most of you know enough about my bookbinding and gilding, so no need to describe processes. Only to say book is covered with moss green velvet.

It goes to show that, with a book that's quite big compared to your recent little one, just what can be done on a small scale. I really like the design on this one & the concept is great!
Can I ask - when you gild, do you use gilding powders? The stuff that you heat? Or is it paint-based?

This one is paint based, with PVA foundation...I use powders sometimes, but they tend to be messy.
But my favorite gilding process is a gold leaf gilding, only, if used for little books it makes them too expensive, so I keep it mostly for my byzantine style icons and few other special things

Oh, my! This is absolutely amazing! I love those hidden books in the first place, and this is so sweet! A perfect place to hide valuable miniature treasures... like jewels! *grin*
