A brilliant rendition of my favorite mythological beast. Nicely done.

That's pretty darn cool. I like the unique way you've mixed/melded together the features of the two creatures.

I love those wings... very well done. I'm sick of seeing creatures with such small and unrealistic wings to carry them around. Good stuff!

It's flight muscles were so thick they actually served as a sort of armour. It was beaten easily beacause of it's wieght limit, it was pinned against a wall and couldn't do a thing about it, that's the hollow bones, which means, the neck area (there is always a neck if there are teeth and a spine)will be quite the weakness. Snappy snap mr gryle, if you get my piont.

I love the ear and hair combo. And the way her profile (esp. by the nose/forehead) is so skull-like...again, it gives a neat alien vibe.
The toes under the bent leg feel a bit like bubbletoes, rather than structured-feeling like the other ones.

The front arms work pretty well here, actually, though I'd still work on making the shoulders a little more structured, rather than rounded like you have here.

T hese ladies are great. Thanks for posting them!

just curious, do you reference a model in these shots? (i could understand for that for the first one you probably took a close look at a tiger or other large feline, but) the pose in this one is very human.. i mean it sort of confuses my mind, in a good way. oh and the wings are beautiful, as usual

Nope, no models... By the time I get around to using references it's too late, the drawing is too far along to change. It's one of my biggest mistakes. I really need to start using good reference material. As for the cat parts, I have several animal anatomy books that I've been using for years. But like I said, I rarely use them at first (when they're needed most). These sketches I did during my lunch break (and a little past my lunch break to be honest) without a reference...
