Beautiful - how lovely the contrast between the bride's white and her beautiful red hair.

Thank you for sharing!

Absolutely beautiful, from both a fashion and photography perspective.

Photography: It has a very nice, simple colour scheme - the vivid red tones contrast the white and green colours very well. You’ve managed to get great lighting for the scene – it isn’t too harsh, so it gives a softness and almost ethereal quality to the whole image.

Fashion: Whoever made the dress is very skilled. It is fitted extremely well, and the subtly toned patterns break up what could have otherwise been a rather rigid, solid-white bodice. They, along with the ribbons at the shoulders and the tiara make this dress wonderfully feminine. The style of the dress is perfect for her body type.

(I know I don’t normally leave such long comments, but I just felt like writing a full critique for this one)

Thank you ^^

I am glad you picked up on the colour as I was experimenting with new colouring techniques on this photo So the fact you pointed it out is a good sign ^^

As for the fashion, if you want I can find the link of the dress maker (its based in England, so not ideal for buying, but for looking/ideas?)

Thanks
-Aaron

You're welcome

And yeah, if you were able find the link to the deisgner, that would be good. I'd like to see what else they've done.

Thanks for that. I've emailed the coutourier for advice on corsetry (if I'm lucky, I might hear something back - here's hoping!).

And Kay's in the "Real Brides" section on the website.

Good luck, hopefully she's nice ^^

Did you mention you lived in NZ? She may be more inclined to help if she knows you wont be competition

Yeah, I told her that the lecturers here weren't being any help. and the small amount of info I found online is inacurate. I read on her website that students are able to visit her work room when she had free time (obviously I can't do that, but maybe that means she'll be willing to give me a couple of tips)

Well, hopefully.

Have you decided what your doing next year?

If I pass this year, I'll stay at Whitecliffe. I've talked to some of the second year fashion students, and it sounds like the fashion department isn't as bad as the rest for conceptual stuff (I guess it's because it still has to be wearable).

That, and Whitecliffe fashion students get to work at NZ Fashion Week from 2nd year. I'm not sure if that happens anywhere else.

Well good luck!

Glad the second year sounds better, shame you had to put up with the waste-of-time first year.

It just occurred to me that fashion is the only major without its own workshop

Yeah, I guess it's too skill-based and they can't conceptualise it as much as they can for the other ones
