Hate planning the picture? See how it turns out without it. Dislike lineing[sic] your pictures? Go right to coloring that sketch! Dont like coloring? make that background right after lining that picture! I want you to try and make a complete picture, with your least favorite part skipped."

The choices she gave us for exclusion in our pictures were: lineart, background, coloring, cleaning the sketch up, and quick sketches.

My least favorite part was lineart, with background a close second... So I didn't do any lineart. And I didn't do a background. Not that I usually do. ~Pengwy is hovering over my shoulder. This kind of a picture didn't really need lineart though so I don't know if I was cheating with that requirement. And I didn't clean up the sketch *points to hovering random running horse in upper left corner (reference from *Freha )* I almost didn't color it but in the end I just threw some color on to make it more interesting (and, I admit it, to make the mistakes less obvious...). So uh.. leaving out the lineart and background just led to it being kind of a study of the horse head in painter style... I don't know.

The closeup was supposed to be a colt.. I don't know if it really resembles one. I don't think I've ever seen a colt in person. No one reference used for the colt head... however I looked at ~Equine-Resource 's gallery for some pointers.
