**Edited 10/02/07... fixed the hair and some highlights... the small view here still looks like crap, please full view!!!**Not sure how long it took... maybe 30 hours since Tuesday? She was really fun to paint... except for the face, at which point I almost threw in the towel and went back to my kitty paintings
Sorry, forgot to add I painted this exclusively in Photoshop on my Wacom from scratch, and I used a stock photo from the lovely Elandria [link] as a reference for the pose.

This is such a lovely painting, but if I could make a critique, I think her hand is a little big. Also, the hair and wings look very stiff. Realistic hair is messy. It goes all over the place and doesn't just flow in a perfect strand. And this is something that a few people have told me: your colors are too isolated. Light and colors bounce off all surfaces and reflect in each other. So the skin should never just be all flesh tones, the cloth all red, the stem all green, and so forth. If you just mix a little bit of those colors into each other, it will give it a much more realistic feel.
